In its effort to reduce contamination and fuel consumption, Delpa Group works consciously to efficiently use all resources, including fuel, which is currently the main component of transport. The company is adopting several strategies to improve its management, such as training drivers to drive efficiently, using technological tools and optimizing routes.


These actions are aligned with its strategic plan to incorporate electric vehicles into its fleet. Recently, Delpa Group has taken a big step towards electromobility by incorporating electric trucks. This initiative on the ground contributes to reducing contamination generated by the logistics industry, while also responding to the needs of its customers, with a clear focus on carbon neutrality, trucks that cover daily routes for all Supply Chain services today.

Investing in electric vehicles for our last-mile logistics

Six new electric vehicles, out of a total of 30 units, now make up Delpa's fleet for its last-mile distribution services. The company has invested in 30 units, which will be added by 2025, with the goal of promoting more efficient and environmentally friendly transportation methods.Delpa Group, a multinational company with more than 26 years of experience in Chile as a logistics operator, offers its clients services that cover the entire logistics chain for national and international freight transport. The new units are five Maxus eDeliver 9 models and one Maxus eDeliver 3. "We are aware that cities are increasingly polluted and saturated by vehicles, and that the trend is toward seeking new methods for more efficient and environmentally friendly transportation. This service stands out for being provided through our own fleet of vehicles and the availability of customer-integrated technology (online tracking and driver app), which allows them to monitor order status, delivery times, location, incident status, returns, receipts, etc. "Major companies such as Walmart, Electrolux, Metrogas, and Tremus trust our last mile. This is another reason why we wanted to take the plunge into electromobility, since in addition to providing our customers with excellent service, we are helping to reduce their carbon footprints and be part of their sustainability strategies," says the executive.Toward smart logistics, creating and innovating for the futureIn addition to its commitment to having a fully electric fleet by 2030, Delpa Group's technology department is working hard on developing technological platforms and integrations to improve logistics and the productivity of its own processes, as well as those of its customers and suppliers.“In a couple of months, we will provide news about these innovative projects, which aim to evolve toward smart logistics through new technologies,” Urra concludes.Maxus eDeliver 9 and Maxus eDeliver 3Both models comply with environmentally friendly European cargo standards and have become great allies for freight transport. The eDeliver 9 has a maximum range of 248 km, a capacity of 9.7 m3 and 11 m3, and a maximum payload of 1,200 kg. Meanwhile, the Maxus eDeliver 3 is capable of traveling more than 200 km while transporting up to 1,000 kg. It has an interior cargo volume of 4.8 m3 and 6.3 m3.Customized VehiclesIn order to meet the needs of its customers, Delpa Group's last-mile distribution service also offers the option of customizing vehicles with the customer's corporate graphics, upon request.
